Larry Boucher, Founder, President & CEO | Alacritech Inc.

Larry Boucher Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alacritech, has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in Silicon Valley as a recognized leader in the areas of server, storage and networking technologies. Mr. Boucher foresaw the convergence of networking and storage and the large amount of processing power and bandwidth consumed when moving data across the network. To solve this problem, Larry pioneered the movement of storage capabilities into silicon. He’s now applied the vision of accelerated storage/NAS solutions and the 54 patents he’s developed into pioneering the next generation of enterprise storage which will allow companies to accelerate their existing storage/NAS infrastructure resulting in a dramatic increase in application performance, increased infrastructure stability and drastically reduced cost.

Prior to Alacritech, Mr. Boucher was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Auspex Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of network file servers, where he revolutionized the networked file system design that is the basis of today’s network attached storage (NAS) model. Prior to Auspex, he was Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Adaptec, Inc. and director of design services at Shugart Associates, where he conceived the idea of the SCSI interface and authored its initial specifications. Mr. Boucher received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MBA from San Jose State University.

John East served as Actel’s President and Chief Executive Officer since December 1988. For over a decade prior to that, Mr. East served in various positions with Advanced Micro Devices, including Senior Vice President of Logic Products. Prior to AMD, he served as Operations Manager for Raytheon Semiconductor and various marketing, manufacturing, and engineering positions for Fairchild Camera and Instrument Corporation. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley.

Barry Lynn brings to 3Tera hands on experience in data center innovation and deep understanding of enterprise customers and applications. He has over 35 years of executive experience in the IT and financial services sectors in Fortune 100 companies and as an entrepreneur. Prior to 3Tera, Barry founded Be eXceL management, Inc., a management consulting firm, which incubated early stage technology companies. Additionally, Mr. Lynn is a general partner of SVP II, a fully invested venture fund managed by Shoreline Venture Management LLC. Early in his career, Barry was with Wells Fargo, where he was executive vice president and head of Investment Operations before becoming CIO of Wells Fargo and Company and President of Wells Fargo Technology Services. In 1995, while at Wells Fargo, he built the world’s first Internet online banking system. Barry was also president of Wells Fargo Securities Clearance Corp. and founder and president of Wells Fargo Securities, Inc. Barry Lynn served as Chairman and CEO of PRIVACI, a provider of anonymous purchasing and personalized services for consumers on the Internet. He was Director of Merant PLC, a public software company, prior to its acquisition by Serena. Mr. Lynn is currently on the Boards of Alacritech and Layer 7 Technologies.

Bill Moore, Retired President | Biomation

Bill Moore is an independent management consultant and retired President of Biomation, where he pioneered the logic analyzer. Prior to Biomation, he served as President of Outlook Technology, Inc., a company engaged in the development, manufacturing and marketing of digital test instrumentation. He was also a Director at Dionex, Inc. and American XTAL Technology, Inc.

Henry P. Massey, Jr., Retired Partner | Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

Henry (Hank) Massey retired as a partner from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in 2010. Mr. Massey practiced law for more than 40 years, including more than 25 years with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. His practice focused on corporate law, with an emphasis on corporate governance, public offerings of securities, venture capital financings, and mergers and acquisitions. Hank represented a wide variety of private and public corporations, including Actel, Adaptec, Catapult Communications, Cost Plus, Cymer Laser Technologies, Monaco Coach Corporation, PeopleSoft, Plantronics, and Rudolph Technologies. Mr. Massey received his Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School and his A.B. from Cornell University. He was selected for inclusion in the 2007 edition of The Legal 500 US and listed in the publication Best Lawyers in America for more than 25 years. Mr. Massey is also a contributing author of Start-Up & Emerging Companies: Planning, Financing, and Operating the Successful Business, Chapter 9, “Stock Purchase Agreements,” of the Law Journal Press, 2003.
