Hardware Diagnostics
Running Hardware Diagnostics on SNP Aware Drivers.
Running Hardware Diagnostics on Non-SNP Aware (ATCP) Drivers.

WARNING: Running the diagnostics will temporarily disable the port under test.

Unexpected termnination of connections to iSCSI disk can cause the system to crash, therefore, before running hardware diagnostics all connections to iSCSI disks should be terminated. Hardware diagnostics should never be run on Alacritech cards that have any ports being used for iSCSI boot.


Running Hardware Diagnostics on SNP aware drivers (Release 9 and later)

  • Bring up the network interface properties pane.

  • Select Configure

  • Select the Diagnostics tab.

  • Click Run Tests.

If any test fails, the card is defective and must be replaced.


 
Running Hardware Diagnostics on Non-SNP aware (ATCP) drivers (Release 7 and earlier)

  • Start -> Programs -> Alacritech -> slicuser

  • Select the port to test.

  • Click Run.

If any test fails, the card is defective and must be replaced.
