Effects of R10 Upgrade

With the announcement of our 10 Gigabit product, Alacritech also anounced the discontinuance of the Volume Server Family and all SES series iSCSI accelerators. In order to reward those customers who own these discontinued products, Alacritech has introduced changes in the R10 driver to:

  1. Allow all Volume Server Family products to function as the equivilent SEN2000 or SEN2100 products. This means that the SEN1800 and SES1800 Series cards can now be installed on the same Windows Servers as the SEN2000 and SEN2100 series products.
  2. Allow all iSCSI Accelerators (except SES1001T and SES1001F) to function as the equivalent Network Accelerator Product. This means that SES products affected by this change will now offload all TCP traffic rather than just iSCSI traffic.
The below table shows the existing discontiued product, and the product that it is functionally equivalent to.
