San Jose, Calif., March 27, 2002 Alacritech®, Inc., the innovator of accelerator solutions that enable fast and efficient servers and storage systems, today announced the appointment of Kim Peyser to the position of senior vice president, marketing and sales. A 25-year industry veteran, Peyser is responsible for developing and leading the execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive market penetration of Alacritech's line of high-performance server and storage accelerators. A seasoned computer hardware, software and networking sales executive, Peyser will apply his expertise in achieving aggressive sales growth for companies such as Cisco Systems, Inc., Novell, Inc. and Excelan, Inc. to Alacritech.

Peyser was a previous vice president of worldwide channel sales at Cisco Systems. Prior to Cisco, Peyser served as CEO of Reach Software Corporation, where he successfully raised two rounds of funding, forged large OEM and enterprise relationships, and developed the company's OEM, reseller and direct sales channel. Before leading Reach, Peyser was vice president of the Americas sales for Novell, Inc., where he facilitated strategic OEM agreements and directed sales staff to achieve more than 100% growth each year for three consecutive years. Peyser came to Novell through its acquisition of Excelan, a then leading LAN hardware and software manufacturer and a pioneer in enabling different computers to share files and applications over Ethernet TCP/IP networks, where he served as vice president of sales. Previously, he also held other key sales management positions. Peyser has a BS degree in business management from Western Michigan University.
