ALACRITECH PROVIDES INCENTIVE FOR CUSTOMERS TO ENHANCE SERVER UTILIZATION UP TO 25 PERCENT WITH GbE ACCELERATOR CARDS OVER STANDARD NICS

SAN JOSE, Calif. – January 26, 2009 – Alacritech Inc., the leader of innovative data-delivery technology, today announced a program to increase server utilization in enterprises throughout the world. The program provides reduced list prices, by up to 50 percent, for Alacritech Copper and Fibre PCI-X and PCIe Gigabit Ethernet products.

Alacritech Storage Network Accelerator (SNA) cards provide customers with greater server efficiency and energy savings when compared to using general purpose processors and standard NICs for networking. By deploying Alacritech SNAs in each server the TCP processing burden is taken off of the processor and placed on the network card. As a result of the SNA addition customers can dramatically improve server performance.

By allowing the server to focus exclusively on application processing and data serving, the Alacritech SNAs enable customers to consolidate servers and keep them in production longer.
