1997 - Alacritech founded. Receives Series A Funding from Benchmark Capital, Alloy Ventures and Redpoint Ventures. SLIC technology, a dynamic TCP offload architecture was invented by Larry Boucher, Steve Blightman, Peter Craft, Dave Higgen, Clive Philbrick and Daryl Starr. First Patents filed.

2000 - Alacritech ships industry’s first TCP Offload Engine network interface cards (Alacritech 100x4 and 100x1 Accelerators). First patent issued.

2001 - Alacritech ships 1000x1 Accelerator – industry’s first full bandwidth Gigabit Ethernet card. Industry marks 20th anniversary of Larry Boucher’s creation of SCSI. Alacritech receives Series C financing from Berkeley International, Munder Capital Management, Needham Capital Partners, Quantum Technology Ventures.

2002 - Alacritech, Hitachi and Nishan Systems demonstrate industry’s first wire-speed iSCSI performance. Alacritech enables Compaq NAS to achieve industry’s highest performance. Alacritech innovation continues; Alacritech secures its 5th U.S. patent.

2003 - Alacritech first to accelerate Microsoft iSCSI driver. Alacritech enables Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to achieve industry’s highest file server performance. Alacritech secures 10th U.S. patent.

2004 - Alacritech ships SES1001 iSCSI Accelerator, the industry’s top performing iSCSI controller. The SES 1001iSCSI Accelerator wins Network Computing Editor’s Choice award. Alacritech announces STA2000 internet protocol processor. Alacritech secures 15th U.S. patent.

2005 - Alacritech ships SES2000 iSCSI Accelerator and SEN2000 Accelerator product families. Alacritech SES1001 iSCSI Accelerator wins Network Computing Well-Connected awards. Microsoft and Broadcom license Alacritech patents.

2006 - Alacritech SES2102ET iSCSI Accelerator wins Tech Target’s Storage Hardware Product of the Year. Alacritech opens new corporate headquarters in the Innovation Triangle District of San Jose. Alacritech releases its first driver that offers integrated Microsoft Chimney support.

2007 - Qlogic licenses Alacritech patents. Alacritech release 9.1 driver, offering enhanced Microsoft Chimney support.
